I'm taking part in the Lord Mayor's sleepout for sick kids
When a child is in hospital, families don’t just visit; family stays. But staying close isn’t always easy.
Many families are suddenly faced with long travel, time away from home, and the emotional and financial pressure that comes with a child’s illness. Everyday life is turned upside down, and simple things—like a place to sleep, a warm meal, or being together- can become overwhelming challenges.
That’s why I’m fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney. Together, we can help ensure families can stay close to their child, with the support they need around them, during one of the hardest times in their lives.
Your donation will help provide more than just a place to stay. It will provide comfort after long hospital days, meals that bring families together, and spaces where children can play, learn, and simply be kids. It will remove the practical barriers that make an already difficult situation even harder, so families can focus on what matters most: caring for their child.
Each year, thousands of families rely on this support to stay near vital medical care. Behind every stay is a family doing everything they can to stay strong for their child- and a community making that possible.
By supporting this fundraiser, you’re helping families stay together, stay supported, and stay connected to everyday life, even when nothing else feels normal.
If you’re able, please consider making a donation. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps make a meaningful difference for families when they need it most.
