I'm raising funds to support families whose child is ill or injured

When a child needs hospital care, everyday life is turned upside down. Families often have to travel far from home, at short notice, just to be near their child.

I'm fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney because they make an incredibly hard time a little easier, helping families stay close, stay together, and stay supported while their child is in hospital.

This fundraiser will help remove practical barriers so families can focus on caring for their child—not where they’ll sleep or what they’ll eat. Every dollar raised will make a meaningful difference.

Help me support seriously ill children and their families!

I'm taking on this challenge to support Ronald McDonald House Charities Greater Western Sydney.

I have utilised the facilities at Westmead whilst my little Lucy has her appointments twice yearly and on occasion for surgeries in the future. I foresee we would be using these facilities for years to come. I will be walking from Sydney to Newcastle, camping along the way, to raise much needed funds for this excellent charity in thanks for what they have done not just for my family but families that are their now and into the future.

Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Greater Western Sydney is built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on the health of their child – not where they can afford to stay, where they will get their next meal or where they will lay their head to rest at night. RMHC believe that when a child is hospitalised, the love and support of family is as powerful as the strongest medicine prescribed.

I want to help keep families together, at a time when they need each other most. On average, it costs Ronald McDonald House Charities GWS $160 to support a family for one night, so please give generously.
