Australian Diecast is raising funds to support families whose child is ill or injured.
When a child needs hospital care, everyday life is turned upside down. Families often have to travel far from home, at short notice, just to be near their child.
We’re fundraising for Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney because they make an incredibly hard time a little easier, helping families stay close, stay together, and stay supported while their child is in hospital.
If you’re able, we’d love your support today.
Why your support matters
Our fundraiser will help remove practical barriers so families can focus on caring for their child—not where they’ll sleep or what they’ll eat. Every dollar raised will make a meaningful difference.
Here's how your support will help.
A place to stay nearby
Ronald McDonald House Greater Sydney Westmead gives families a welcoming place to sleep, rest, and be together. Just steps away from The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, parents don’t have to choose between being close to their child and having a place to stay.
More places for families inside the hospital
From May 2026, the Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Family Accommodation inside The Children’s Hospital at Westmead will offer 10 rooms for those who need to stay overnight in hospital. It means even more families can remain close during critical moments of care.
A place to pause inside the hospital
The Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Family Room, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead offers families a calm space to rest and take a break just moments from their child’s bedside. It’s a practical and emotional retreat during the intensity of hospital life.
Food that brings relief
Warm meals and stocked kitchens mean families don’t have to think about cooking or grocery bills after long hospital days. It’s one less thing to worry about when everything feels overwhelming.
Support during the day
Through the Day Pass Program, families whose child is in hospital can access meals, showers, working spaces, and family facilities during the day, even if they aren’t staying overnight.
Comfort delivered to the ward
Hospitality Carts visit children’s wards at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Nepean Hospital, and Campbelltown Hospital, offering snacks, toiletries, and small comforts—small moments of care that make the big days lighter.
Learning doesn’t stop
Through the Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney Learning Program and in-house Learning Centre, sick children and their siblings receive educational support through childhood illness, helping them stay connected to learning and return to school with confidence.
We’re doing it for them
When Jacinta’s 7-year-old son was diagnosed with aplastic anemia, they were overwhelmed in every way—emotionally, medically, and logistically, living five hours away from Westmead.
Jacinta says, “Ronald McDonald House Greater Western Sydney means everything to my family. It has given us a safe, stable home when our world has been turned upside down and a community who has wrapped us in kindness and understanding when we need it most. Easing the financial and emotional pressure allowed me to focus on my son’s treatment and recovery instead of worrying about where we would stay or how we would cope so far from home.”
This fundraiser is for every family like Jacinta’s who needs care, comfort, and stability during the toughest time of their lives.
